Bella Vista means Beautiful View
We chose this name because it is what most people typically say when they arrive and are welcomed to our bed and breakfast. Bella Vista is situated in a private and quiet neighborhood where the cities of Boise and Meridian and the scenic beauty of Idaho converge. Guests can sit out on the guest patio and enjoy a beverage or snack and relax while enjoying the calming view of our valley. From our little perch on the rim you can see all the way to the top of the mountain (Shafer Butte) which is home to Bogus Basin Ski area. In between Bella Vista and the mountain is the city of Meridian Id to the left and Boise to the right. Each room enjoys its own unique view to allow you to relax inside in temperature controlled comfort. Whether visiting the Boise area for business or pleasure, our B&B Boise guests regularly tell us how pleased they are to have chosen Bella Vista ID over the standard hotel option.

We have been very active in the community serving on committees, coaching ball teams, participating in craft shows, community plays, teaching art lessons and various business ventures in Soda Springs . We are members of the Presbyterian Church of Soda Springs.
We were always attracted to this home and when it became available, in 1990, we purchased it. At that time we built on an addition to accommodate a commercial kitchen . A restaurant had been in operation for most of that time but Robbie was inspired to make this home into a Bed & Breakfast. In April 2112 the dream began. We have striven to maintain the charm and integrity of the home for all time. The restorations have taken about 15 months to complete. We are finally proud to open our doors to all who wish to enjoy the history of this amazing home and to become our friends.
We feel as though the Largillieres have come back home. This home was listed in 1991 on the National Register of Historic Places as "Edgar W. Largilliere Home."
The Largilliere story began with August Largilliere, a wealthy French immigrant, who came to Soda Springs and started a brewery, dry goods store, grocery store and together with his son, Edgar, established a banking business, all in Soda Springs. The Largillieres also owned 1700 acres of land and several hundred head of sheep. This home is the only structure left from the family legacy other than a prominent mausoleum in the city cemetery.
This home has been newly renovated, keeping the old time charm, yet still has modern comforts. It is romantic and filled with antiques and vintage memorabilia. A peaceful balance of comfort and cleanliness with a full breakfast served.
